Email, phone, text support
We offer friendly, fanatical customer service when you need it (Unless we're asleep... but we'll get to you when we aren't!)!
When people ask, "How much does a website cost?" I like to compare it to asking, "How much does a car cost?" Just like with cars, website costs vary widely depending on what you’re looking for.
If you need something simple, like a basic sedan that gets you from point A to B, the cost is lower. But if you want something with high performance, reliability, and a sleek design—like a luxury or sports car—it requires a higher level of customization, engineering, and attention to detail. With websites, it’s the same. A custom-built site that runs smoothly, looks fantastic, and includes tailored features (like e-commerce, animations, or interactive forms) takes extra planning, development, and testing.
Plus, just as maintaining a car keeps it running smoothly, a website needs regular updates and tuning to perform well. Plus the site is 'hosted' on a remote computer, so there are monthly or annual hosting charges that are required to keep your site 'on the road'.
In short, the cost of a website isn’t just about the design—it’s about creating a powerful, long-lasting online presence that fits your “driving style.”
Book a MeetingA domain is the unique web address people type into their browser to visit a specific website, like "example.com." or "yourcompany.ca". It’s essentially your website’s “name” on the internet, making it easy for people to find and recognize your site among billions of others.
A web domain is a commodity just like any other physical product, and can be purchased in any number of 'stores' (like GoDaddy, Google Domains, Register.com).
Gaslamp Village buys and manages domains for its clients. A standard TLD (Top Level Domain) like .com, .ca, or .net costs $30.00 per year to register... a cost that is renewed every year. Though you can purchase multiple years, there is no discount for buying years in bulk.
The new TLD's (or Top Level Domains) available now make customizing your domains even better. Today you are able to register cool TLD's like .club, or .photography. Each TLD has a different price, and the prices fluctuate as demand for that TLD increases or decreases.
Register your domain with the same company that builds and maintains your website keeps everything centralized, making it easier to manage. If any technical issues arise, you have a single point of contact for support, which can speed up troubleshooting. Additionally, having everything under one roof simplifies renewals, security settings, and site updates, keeping your online presence more streamlined and secure.
Book a MeetingGetting a hold of a Gaslamp Village Tech Support person is easy!
Not through the website at the moment. However, it's so easy to get in touch with a REAL person here that an artificial AI chatbot would probably only infuriate you.
If you try one of the above methods and we're busy and can't take your call, we will get back to you at our EARLIEST availability.
We book meetings (30 or 60 mins) Tuesday to Thursday, 10am to 4pm. Mondays and Fridays are for client and/or project work or self-improvement/training.

Book a MeetingIt depends on what email server you're using.
The best way to tell is to go to your webmail portal.
Go to: https://webmail.[yourdomain].com or .ca
If it looks like this:
Your settings are as follows:
Inbound (Secure IMAP):
secure.emailsrvr.com(Port 993)
Outbound (Secure SMTP):
secure.emailsrvr.com(Ports 465 or 587)
Username: your email address
Password: your password
Server requires authorization for incoming AND outgoing.
If it looks like this (This is the OLD server):
Your settings are as follows:
Inbound (Secure IMAP):
mi3-sr115.supercp.com (Port: 993)
Outbound (Secure IMAP):
mi3-sr115.supercp.com (Port: 465)
Username: your email address
Password: your password
Server requires authorization for incoming AND outgoing.
Setting a vacation message is the easiest way of letting people know you're on vacation (or away from the office) for a certain amount of time. When you set a vacation message, people who email you will receive an instant reply notifying them of the message you specify.
In order to prevent too many messages going out, the system limits the amount of times it will send your vacation message to once per day per email address. So if you get multiple emails in one day from the same person, they will only get your vacation message once that day.
Log into your webmail by going to: https://webmail.[yourwebdomain.com]
It should look similar to this (If it doesn't, you're on our older email server. See below)
Once you're logged in, go to your settings:
Click on Incoming Mail and Auto Reply to set the vacation message.
Click the ON radio button, and enter your vacation message. This is the message that will go out directly to anyone who emails you.
Once you are happy with that, you can also set the START ON date and time and END ON Date and time for worry free messaging. If the END ON date is set, you will not have to remember to turn the message off when you get back. It will be disabled automatically at the specified time.
I know how frustrating this can be. Fortunately there are ways to mitigate a lost password. First of all... use a password manager. Password managers like Lastpass and Dashlane are indispensible when it comes to managing ALL the passwords we need to manage and maintain these days. For as little as $0.00 per month, you can live with the assurance that your passwords are being stored in a Zero-Knowledge-Encryption databases which means even that service's staff can't access your data.
Second: Make sure you have a password reclamation phone number set in your webmail settings. This is CRITICAL in order to reclaim your password. Chances are, if you haven't done this, and you have forgotten your password, you will need to contact support, and we will change the password for you.
But if you HAVE set a phone number in your email account (Good for you!). Log into your webmail portal, by going to "https://webmail.mydomain.com"
Click "FORGOT PASSWORD"
Then enter your email address in the form field provided:
You will then receive a text message on your phone. Proceed through that link in order to change your password.
NOTE: Once you've reclaimed and changed your password, you will need to update that password on every device you check mail on (your mail client like Outlook, Thunderbird, Mac Mail).
If you already know your password and are simply looking to change it... Simple!
Log into your webmail portal by clicking on: https://webmail.yourdomain.com
Once logged in, click on the settings menu and click SETTINGS
Then simply click on the Security Settings and change your password.
NOTE: Your password will need to be changed on EVERY device you check your email on, so be sure to remember it.
We offer friendly, fanatical customer service when you need it (Unless we're asleep... but we'll get to you when we aren't!)!
If your site needs a content update and you're not able (or don't want to) tackle the chore of changing it yourself, we can help! Even if we didn't build it!
